I'll try to keep it brief - lots of pics ahead!!
Jacklyn and my Mom getting ready to ski together :)
Aren't they cute??
Jacklyn's goal this summer was to learn to slalom... so here she is, a pro on two skis...
Starting to kick one ski off...
There goes the ski!
Gaining balance so she can put her foot in the back binding...
Ta da! Look at her! Nothin to it! :)
As we come back from ski runs, we are always greeted by our dog entourage :)
Avery said she wanted to tube... so I let her sit in it to get the feel - she would have just played in it all day! I tubed with her last year, but I wasn't sure she'd remember...
I decided that though I'm not really allowed to do anything behind the boat, I really really wanted to tube with my daughter. My dad was going to take it nice and easy for her anyway, so we decided one careful ride was okay.
My only problem... finding a life jacket to fit my baby belly.
This is my Dad's - the arm holes were huge... and we still had to loosen the buckles all the way to (sort of) get it around my belly.
Oh well - this will do, right?
Here we are - all ready to go!
Avery LOVED it. You can't really see her face here, but we sang songs back there (surprise surprise) and Avery kept saying "YEE HAW!!!!" and waving at the boat.
Malachi decided he wanted to try to ski! He did well standing in the kid skis on the beach, then getting pulled by hand out into the water a bit, so we decided to let him try behind the boat. Yes, at 2.5 years old!! It was hard for him to get the hang of going from sitting to standing - so we took him over to the sand bar and Aaron held him on top of the water until the boat pulled him away - and HE DID IT!
My first view of it was from the dock - look how little he looks!!
Hi Malachi James!
Malachi wanted to do it again, and we wanted a closer look - so Jacklyn, Avery, and I went in the boat this time!
You can kind of see Aaron behind him... and look at Malachi! Wooo Hoooo!! (as Malachi would say) - he went for a LONG run!
Here you can see my mom holding the rope into the boat. That way if Malachi falls, she just lets go and the boat doesn't drag him. :)
Jacklyn was quite the slalomer (sp?) by the end of vacation!
Avery wanted to tube again - this time with Grandma Bubba. You can see a bit of her singing :)
I'm so glad Avery wasn't scared behind the boat!
Had to get a few pics of the Rents...
Here's my mom skiing :)
Wish I had her mad skills :)
My Dad - well, everyone says he's awesome (which he is)... but I'm not gonna lie - I have NO idea how you get to where you trust your ski like that!!! So I kind of think he's crazy. Crazy good.
One last of my Dad... Go Gpa!
This means I'm FINALLY done posting about vacation!! Let's get caught up before this baby comes...!!
