Down at the Dock #1

Here's our vacation at the cabin... summed up by pics down by the water.  I'll keep it brief since there are a lot of pics/videos. :)

1-2-3 SURPRISE! became Avery's favorite game in the water... as long as our arms would last. :)

Helping pump up a new floatie.

Malachi loved fishing with his daddy.  He actually got really good at fishing on his own!  This time he was saying "bye" to each fish he threw back :)

Ever since Avery watched a couple episodes of American Idol (performances only :)), she thinks the main thing is to focus on the big notes... so sometimes she doesn't sing words at all.  Ha ha.

So... probably half of the days of vacation, when I would suggest that Avery get her swimsuit on so we could go down by the dock and/or swim, she would fuss and refuse.  It NEVER failed that as soon as we got close to the water, she wanted to swim.  Since it's a bit of an uphill jaunt to the cabin (and this preggo gets out of breath easily), I would just let her strip down to her underwear and swim.  Ha.

This is my sweetie (sans swimsuit) playing on the raft...

My parents watching the activity on the lake.  They're cute.

Avery loves the swing - this time she was telling me she wanted to sleep there all night :)

Malachi and Avery wanted to kayak together.  My heart could hardly handle it...

Bubba and Gpa took them for a nice long ride (and the dogs had to follow).

One of our favorite things this year was the sandbar across the lake from our dock.  The beach at our cabin is a bit rocky, so the kids loved being able to walk/run in the water on soft sand.

Avery is my little fish - she would spend all day in the water if I let her :)

She loved to flop and fall in, then pop up laughing.

Here's a bit of her flopping - after this she got quite brave and would dive in, head and all (that's not on video since I stayed right by her just in case she had trouble getting right out of the water :))

Then Avery starting diving under and just holding up her arm, trusting that someone would be there to pull her out.  She LOVED going under water! She could definitely trust her Gpa to be there. :)

I just love her little belly.

I know it's a lot of pics... but this is for me to remember, as well. :) More to come!
