Down at the Dock #2

Continuing from yesterday, here are a few more pics showing our time down by the water.

Avery loves swimming with her Gpa...

She looks a bit like a diva here... lol.  She's got her glasses and her bag - ready to go!

If the dogs were outside, they were always at the end of the dock, waiting "patiently" for someone to throw the ball for them.

After playing hard in the water, Cali needed to rest.  Of course, she didn't lay on the dock or the beach like the other (more normal) dogs.  She deserved the bench on the dock.

So I debated about posting these... but they're some of my favorite memories.  When we had the island, we had no choice but to shower in the lake (by the way, lakes in Wisconsin = WAY cleaner than Ks, just fyi).  Even though we have showers in our new cabin, we usually still wash our hair in the lake... it's tradition. :)
Also tradition... mom "styling" our hair for a "photo shoot"...

Aren't we loverly?  Lol...
(sorry Mom and Jack :))

Avery yet again in her choice of swimsuit...

She was finding rocks and throwing them for the dogs... who would chase them and even go under water to "dig" them up.  Ha.

Jacklyn got up early one morning to see the sunrise - I had her take my camera.  I don't know many places more peaceful...

Avery swam well with her life jacket, but most of the time preferred to go without.  Don't mind the large-bellied lady in these pics - I wanted some of Avery swimming. :)

Avery likes to sing.  all.  the.  time.
She likes to sing as she swims, as well...

We don't eat "as healthy" on vacation... Avery got to experience nutty bars for the first time.  She wasn't disappointed. :)

If you squint... to the left you can see a mommy and a daddy loon - to the right are two baby loons.  Loons are typical for "up north" and we always get excited to see them.  This year was loon crazy though!  We saw SO many - and heard them (ha) all the time!

Just one last shot of the view from the dock.  Ahhhh I miss it.
