Apparently I took a lot of pictures in March... but we're almost done!
We had some dear friends over for dinner and apparently they wore Ezra out. I cracked up because he hardly ever falls asleep in our arms anymore!
On March 24th, Ezra started sitting up on his own! Just 10 days after he turned 5 months old. I wonder if his chunky legs had something to do with it...
We had some beautiful days at the end of March - we spent as much time outside as possible.
Ezra seriously loves his sunglasses. He never touches them once I put them on. I think his light blue eyes are sensitive in the bright sunlight, so he appreciates the protection. :)
Avery is a bit of a tomboy (wonder why :)) and loves to get dirty. I wish I had an "after" picture from this day.
I was so excited for Ezra to wear these cute plaid shorts... but when they finally fit his waist, they were a "bit" tight on his thighs! Ha ha. He didn't seem to mind.
Avery likes building with her legos. She wanted to make a house for her princesses. When she finished, I heard her say, "Well actually I think they want to live on TOP of the castle!"
One morning Avery asked if she could borrow a pair of my flip flops and a pair of Daddy's. After I said yes, she left and came back like this. She said, "Look mom, I'm a spider!" I love her imagination.
So... I read the Hunger Games trilogy. A friend lent me the books while I was on vacation last summer. I finished all three in two weeks. I kept telling my sister to read them and she finally did. We both LOVED the books. Once you get past the first premise of the story, you get to so much more. Anyway, we had our first sister-no-kids-date since we had our second babies - to go see Hunger Games in the IMAX theater!
I texted that picture to Joe and he said we are weird. Oh well. We enjoyed the movie... but it does not even come CLOSE to the books. :)
The kids and I went to our neighborhood park one day.
It had rained the day before... so there was a huge puddle underneath the playground equipment. Avery took off her shoes and played in the water the whole time we were there.
Ezra just made silly faces. :)
I got a new kitchen sink/faucet so Avery helped me bathe Ezra in it. He approved.
When Ezra wakes up in the morning, I take him downstairs to play for a bit before Avery wakes up. I opened the curtains as I do every morning... but this morning Ezra noticed his shadow. He kept talking (cooing) at it. It was so cute. I would move his foot around and he would just watch it...
Then he tried to do it himself. I love my sweet boy.
