Easter is my favorite holiday... even more-so than Christmas. I mean, I love celebrating that Jesus chose to humble Himself and live among us. It amazes me... how much He loves us and what He will do to have a relationship with us. Oh, but Easter. Easter! Not only did Jesus come live among us, but He died for us. Death did not win, though - because Jesus rose from the dead!! We speak of it all the time, but it still leaves me in awe... it is proof that Jesus is making all things new and will make all things right. He is establishing His kingdom on earth and I'm so excited to be a part of His story!
Easter Sunday is usually a tradition at my parents' house. We always head over there after church to eat, nap, and hang out all day. This year, we went to my sister's house. It was wonderful. A beautiful day, shared with family and friends... celebrating the hope we have in Jesus.
My boy - just sitting up by himself, chillin'.
The spread...
The chefs :)
Malachi and Avery played/serenaded us before lunch.
An attempt at a picture of Malachi and Avery before the egg hunt... they were a bit distracted. :)
They made a few pit stops inside to open up eggs and eat some m&ms. Fuel for more hunting!
Easter Sunday was also when Jericho got his first hair cut! Yes, at 4 months old. His hair was SO long! It had rubbed off in the back, so my stylist sister couldn't handle it any longer... here he is before:
... and it begins!
Jericho did so well!
All done! Look at that handsome little man!!
The older kids got to dye eggs. I put Avery in her jammies so she wouldn't get dye on her dress. :)
My happy boy with his Grandma Bubba...
Eggs are so exciting...
Malachi and Avery were so proud of their eggs! Funny thing is, Avery brought home four of them and asked to eat one each morning after that. She loved peeling the shell - and I'm pretty sure she liked eating them just because they were colored. Ha.
Ezra's first experience sitting in grass... ha ha ha!
Uncle Aaron came to the rescue!
Hanging out...
Look at Ezra!!
My daughter watches her shadow ALL the time. I love it. She is too cute.
Happy Easter, everyone! I hope you had a blessed day and pray that you know the hope we have in Jesus because of the resurrection. :)
