I will say, as much as I love summer... being pregnant in the summer is another story. Good grief! :) The instant I walk outside I feel like I'm drenched in sweat - and I get really light-headed. Fun times.
We've had a lot of really hot days already this summer... so in the spirit of trying to stay positive, I decided to focus on the GOOD things about be pregnant in the summer. So far I've only come up with one... but I'm sure there are more... just have to think of them.
The one I've thought of: I don't have to bend over as much getting ready! Being pregnant during the winter was rough because I had to always put socks on, and then shoes (maybe even tie them)... but in the summer, I just slip on some flip flops and I'm good to go! No bending over! :) Ha ha...
Anywho, as I'm catching up to what's currently going on (almost there!), I thought I'd combine most of our June outdoor fun into one post. So here you go!
We really enjoy going to a nearby park that has interactive water fountains. This particular day, Malachi refused to get wet - so he carefully took drinks :)
Avery loved the smaller fountains :)
We're enjoying having a neighborhood park that's within walking distance from our house!
So Avery loves playing in water, with water, around water... and pretty much anytime we go outside, she has to take a squirt gun. Joe and I crack up because EVERY time she pulls the trigger, she moves her mouth! Why? I have no idea...
Our three "kids" enjoying the backyard :)
Michele and Leighton came over for a playdate - so fun! Leighton and Avery are close in age and have so much fun together! Michele and I went to high school and college together, so we always enjoy hanging out. :) I only got two pics, but she has more here. They even sang a duet on Avery's "stage" (the fireplace).
Oh and we got these chairs out for us (the mommies), but the girls assumed they were for them. Ha.
At another fountain park... but we didn't stay long (it was TOO hot!). You can see her red cheeks :(
This was the day that Avery REFUSED to wear a shirt - like it was the end of the world. Apparently I did the same thing when I was her age... so perhaps what goes around comes around - lol.
Love her.
She was serenading me. I never get tired of it.
And again with the car... she got to sit on Daddy's car as he drove it like 5 feet into the garage. She thought it was the best thing ever!
At the park, swinging - I just love her laugh.
Avery really likes going to garage sales with me (and she does really well while we're there, a bit to my surprise :)). This particular one, she found this strange monkey(?), found the rocking chair, and spent 10 minutes rocking and singing to the creature - saying "It's okay, baby, I'll rock you to sleep" :)
So there's some June randomness for ya - sonogram and Father's Day coming up!
