At the Cabin - Pt. 5

My parents have two dogs.

Lily LOVES the water.

Sam does NOT love the water. :)
They're both pretty sweet dogs, though. :)

Ezra's new favorite thing at the cabin became finding the diaper caddy and removing each item, piece by piece.

On the fourth of July, the rest of our family went to Duluth to watch the fireworks over the lift bridge.  It is really awesome to see... but with two little ones, Joe and I decided to hang back at the cabin.  It would have been a really late night otherwise. :)

We took our family of four out to dinner at Spooner Family Restaurant.  I'll never forget that evening... Avery did NOT want her picture taken, and Ezra decided to share his screeching with the world entire restaurant.

He wasn't upset, really.  He just screeched.  A lot.  At the top of his lungs.  We got looks and comments.  We ate as fast as we could. :)

When we got home, we hung out on the deck for a while.  Ezra's "crawl" was pretty entertaining.

He was SO close!

Avery got ice cream because she ate a good dinner (and ate quickly :)).

We hardly ever take pictures of us anymore now that we have kids. :) It's hard to take a self-portrait with my professional camera, but we (kind of) did it. :)

After Ezra went to bed and it got dark, I told Avery we could go out on the dock to watch the fireworks on our lake.  I told her to make sure her arms and legs were covered so the mosquitoes wouldn't bite us.  She picked out this awesome outfit.  Love her.

My daughter and I as we got ready for the fireworks to start.

It was so fun watching fireworks with Avery.  She got so excited... and there were people doing fireworks all over the lake.  We could look any direction and get a show!  This, too, will be one of my favorite memories from this summer.

Happy 4th of July! :)
