I'll start off my last May post with a video of my sweet Avery. She definitely marches to the beat of her own drum... and one of her current activities is to dress up and dance/sing with her reflection. This time in the oven. :)
While Joe was in Ukraine, I let Avery cross off days on the calendar. It helped her (and me :)) have an idea of when he would be home. She would cross a day off before bed each night... and from the time she woke up in the morning until bedtime she would be asking to cross another day off. :)
After a messy lunch, Ezra got a sink bath. Avery helped.
My girl is silly... I have no idea where she gets it from.
My boy is pretty cute.
His laugh is pretty cute, too.
One morning at breakfast, I caught Avery singing a song to herself. It was something about loving mommy and daddy... though it's hard to hear. Then I captured a conversation we had multiple times each day while Joe was gone. Oh and Ezra eats Cheerios. Ha.
Avery does the little "eye roll" thing when she is in Avery's world... I think SHE thinks we can't see her when she does that... :)
Ezra eating cheerios for the first time. Such a milestone - I mean, everything gets easier when you can feed your baby cheerios, right? :)
I can't get enough of Ezra's laugh... and I can't seem to stop taking videos of it.
The only thing better than a baby's laugh has to be my two babies laughing together...
I posted this pic on instagram... and since then my freezer has gotten even more full. It's crazy. With Avery I was a horrible pumper... but not with Ezra! I had to document it. :)
I think my boy is so handsome.
My girl is pretty stylin' - here we were getting ready to swim at "Grandma Susie's" (my sister's mother-in-law's house :)).
Ezra started getting into EVERYTHING in May. I leave the room for 2 seconds and he seems to have destroyed it by the time I return. This was when he wasn't crawling yet... who knows how he got across the room??
Every so often (not as often as mommy would like), I'm able to convince Avery that her Spunky needs a bath. She sits in front of the washer the whole time she's "bathing". It's sweet.
Runaway duck!
While I'm wrangling Ezra after bath, Avery is making beds and tucking her bath toys in for bed.
Avery was really missing her Daddy. So I suggested she "send" him videos. She loved the idea. Joe didn't have phone access so he couldn't see them, but we showed them to him when he got home! This was one of my favorites. She wanted to send Daddy kisses. Oh, and she ended the video herself. :)
When Ezra wakes up from his morning nap, many times Avery likes to greet him IN his bed. :)
I was playing pirates with Avery in the "clubhouse ship" at my parents' house. My dog is a teensy bit attached to me... she paced below us for a bit, then.. I turned around and she had climed up the ladder to be with us! Silly Asher.
Enjoying flavor-ice on a hot day.
Avery put her "snuggle stuff" in the johnny jump-up and told them it was Bible time. She "read" them the story of Jesus healing the paralytic. I can't put into words what this does to my heart...
Avery and bugs. Any kind of bugs. She loves them. Ladybugs were the current favorite and she was lucky enough to have one hang out with her for a few minutes!
Daddy is home! I had planned to get a reunion picture, but Joe's flights kept getting delayed because of crazy weather... I had to put Avery to bed before he got home. That was rough. I did grab this pic the next morning. Avery said Spunky was so happy to see Daddy that she became a princess.
Done with MAY!!
