June Pt. 1

WARNING: Lots of pictures ahead!
I want to get caught up as quickly as possible...

What better way to start our June than with a visit from Bubba and Gpa?  I love how Avery asked Bubba to wear the crown while she read and my mom didn't even hesitate. :)

My summers include the pleasure helping Gina shoot weddings.  Really, it's just a ploy to get a little time together without kiddos... ha. :) Here's how we look at the START of the day... by the end the heat may or may not make us look like we've been through a rainstorm.  A hot sticky rainstorm with no rain.

Avery always asks me to take pictures with her.  Most of the time I oblige.  Very few get posted. :)

"Hot dog bun tongues!"

Ezra... happy boy.

Ezra... sad boy.  Nap time.

My daughter might just have a little of her mommy's OCD.  M&Ms usually get organized before eaten. This time, a smiley face.

Daddy-son hammock time.

Daughter-dirt time.

I just love this girl.

A playdate at Leighton's house.  Sorry the pic is blurry, but it was SO cute!  Leighton and Avery took turns playing "sick princess and doctor".  They took such good care of each other!

On the way to that playdate, I expected Ezra to nap because it was his normal nap time.  Avery, on the other hand... well, I guess she didn't want to be left out. :)

I wore these pajamas when I was a little girl.  They had matching pjs for a doll.  I used to love them.  I had forgotten about them... until my mom found them recently.  Avery LOVES them.  She insists that Spunky wears the matching ones (only a little tricky since Spunky doesn't really have legs...).  They are big on Avery, but nothing a safety pin can't fix. :)

Avery likes to play outside with her water squirter.  Ezra likes to pretend he can squirt one, too.

Avery in Ezra's glasses. :)

So a few days after Joe got home from Ukraine, he and my dad flew to Florida and drove this huge u-haul all the way back.  They stopped at a hotel for one night, but did 24 hours of driving total.  It was a whirlwind of a trip!  Joe's step-mom had some things she wanted to get rid of (including a piano for Avery :)), so Joe and my dad helped load up the u-haul before heading back to Wichita.

Avery and Malachi's favorite thing in the u-haul... was the u-haul itself. :) As it got emptied, they ran around in it.  They loved how their voices echoed in it.  Their feet ended up looking like this...

I love this video.  Malachi on keys, Avery lead vocals.  Ha ha!
My little snuggle bug.

Avery is so goofy.  Ever since the hippie party my parents threw for my birthday, Avery has been insisting that these glasses are her "Dr. Doolittle" glasses.  I have no idea what all was going on here...

Avery and Ezra enjoying the piano from Grandpa Lynn and Grandma Chelle.
After it sits for a bit, we'll get it tuned. :)

Avery made up a song for Ezra.  I'm sharing this video mostly so I can remember what it was like trying to video one kid while holding the other. :) Ha ha.

This boy loves his daddy.

I let Avery help me make cupcakes.  She frosted and sprinkled this one all by herself.

PLEASE excuse my silly voice in this video...
My mom somehow figured out that if you sing "Rolling in the Deep" to Ezra, he cracks up.  Every time.  I had to capture it.  Perhaps it's the silly voice... but I like to think it's the song.  Ha ha.

My girl loves to dance.

Yay for posting two days in a row!  Ha ha.
