38 weeks

So as of yesterday I'm 38 weeks along... and not gonna lie, I feel like I'm 48 weeks.

In the midst of contractions, back labor, and other pains, I've been choosing to find things to be thankful for each day.  I'm thankful for an uncomplicated pregnancy, a healthy baby, a wonderful husband, an amazing daughter... the list goes on and on.  So much to be thankful for.

I had an appointment yesterday and doc says I'm measuring 40+ weeks - ha.  I feel huge, and I fully expect to have another big baby. :)

This is a shot from my point of view right now... lol.

I think this pic makes me look even BIGGER than I feel... and I feel MASSIVE.

Avery loves the baby.  It's so cute.  She loves on the baby every day with hugs, kisses, and "I love yous". She seems to understand more than I give her credit for sometimes.  Avery has a photo album of the day she was born and she loves to tell us the story of her arrival.  Now she has been telling us this story after she finishes that one:

"Mommy, you will know when the baby is ready to come.  And you and Daddy will go to the hopsital!  Dr. Kauffman will take the baby out of your tummy.  I will stay with Bubba and Gpa or Malachi, but then I will come to the hospital to see you and meet the baby!  It will be my baby brother or sister.  Then we will all come home and the baby will sleep in my old bed.  I can't wait for the baby to come home!"

It's really sweet.  She is so excited - and I hope that lasts once the baby really is here. :)

I tried to get a bit of video of Avery and my huge tummy the baby.  She doesn't act the same when she can see herself being recorded... but it was the only way I could see what I was doing :)

So the countdown is on.  Friday (if not before), we will be meeting Baby Itty Bitty.  So exciting!

My 38 week picture... oh and I've officially passed the weight that I hit when pregnant with Avery.  Good times.

oh honey I feel your pain. Wanna plan a playdate so the baby comes instead like I did?! At least you know the end is in sight and can soak up these last few days and moments as a family of 3!! Praying for you. Hugs.

Okay, you're going to LOOOOOVE that video of Avery with your belly 10 years from now when you don't remember what it was like to just have Avery, and how excited everyone was to find out who this new baby was going to be!
