May Pt. 2

I took a lot of pictures in May.
Who am I kidding?
I take a lot of pictures... every month.
Here's to catching up in the near future...

My happy boy.

Ezra's first tooth popped through on May 14th, his 7-month birthday! :)

My kiddos watching a show together.

Joe's birthday gift to Avery got damaged during shipping and we had to wait for a new one.  He was away at missions training, so I took pictures of Avery opening it.

She was so excited!  She had been asking and asking for a lawnmower so she could help Daddy mow. It was a cheap one (didn't have control over colors :)), but Avery loved it.

Hanging out at the Rents' house.  Ezra likes the swinging chairs on the back porch.

Okay, so I couldn't resist this one.  I just LOVE how chunky my boy is!!!!  He may not love this someday, but his buns are just too cute. :)

Joe led a team to do missions in Ukraine the second half of May.  The team met at our house before going to the airport.  Here is most of their team!

We attempted a family pic, but Avery was already sad and Ezra was ready for nap...

I was able to cheer Avery up a bit after Daddy left... I let her use her favorite blanket to have a picnic on the floor. :)

Ezra loves cantaloupe.  Loves.

I had to order my big boy his big boy car seat!  He outgrew the infant seat so fast... Avery was in it until she turned one.  Not Ezra.  At 6 months I knew he was about done with it... by seven months I knew I couldn't carry him much longer.

When Ezra's car seat arrived, Avery immediately made the box into a secret hiding place.  She ate lunch in there more than a few times... :)

Avery started telling me that she "loves me forever and ever" and it completely does me in.  I can't handle it.  I tear up every time.  I got a little video of it... including her silly scrunchie face at the end. :)

I wish I had taken video of this... but oh well.  Ezra accidentally rolled over on top of his "Sophie" giraffe.  Then he found out if he rolled back and forth, it would squeak and squeak.  He cracked himself up!

There is something about a baby boy in his jammies.  Gooooosh.

Ezra's last ride in the infant car seat!

Avery's 3-year check-up.  She was SO excited!

Her check-up was fun.  The doctor asked me a number of questions about her development.  One question was "does she know the difference between up and down?" Avery went over and said, "I know!  The ceiling is up and the floor is down." The doctor seemed surprised, then turned to Avery to ask her the remaining questions.  She and Avery talked for a while, then she turned to me and said, "are you sure this is her THREE year check-up, not 4 or 5??  She is right on physically, but emotionally, verbally, and mentally, she's off the charts!" Made me a proud mommy. :)

Ezra's first ride in his big boy car seat.  I think he liked it...

My handsome boy.

One Saturday morning, I met my parents at the Farmer's Market.  Chris and Jacklyn joined us - it was Chris' first time there! :)

Ezra liked the Farmer's Market, too...

While Joe was in the Ukraine, I decided to paint our fireplace to surprise him (and to give me something to do after the kids went to bed).  Avery helped me the first night. :) I'll have pics of the before and after posted after a bit...

Over at the Rents' house again... Gpa found a nest of baby birds!  Avery had never seen baby birds without their feathers, so she was excited. :)
