We bought Avery's costume a couple of weeks before Halloween (I had hopes of making it, but with a newborn I had to be realistic). She LOVED it and wore it every. single. day.
When Halloween actually came, Avery was sick with the croup. It was awful. We were all sleep-deprived and she was miserable. It was the first time she's been really sick, and it was hard on my heart. :( The cold night air was supposed to be good for her, so we told her she could still trick-or-treat... and she was SO excited.
Until we got to trunk-or-treat at my family's church. She refused to put on her costume and had a major meltdown...
We ended up at Bubba & Gpa's house... where she played happily (yet still refused to wear her costume).
So these pictures are actually from the week before Halloween - one of our neighbors had a mini-festival and Avery insisted on wearing her costume. She wanted to be Tinkerbell, since Malachi was going to be Peter Pan... but I couldn't find a Tinkerbell costume in her size, so she's a pink Tinkerbell. She told everyone that she was a "fairy princess". :)
Thank goodness I took those, because I didn't get any of her on Halloween. Oh well. I did take a few that night - one of Malachi, I mean Peter Pan... and my sweet little candy corn (can you tell it's Ezra?). :)
I was a bit annoyed that I didn't get "real" pictures for Halloween, but I let it go. Well, kind of.
I decided to have a little photo session with Ezra in his costume when I had a spare minute... which didn't happen for a while. So here are some of my sweet candy corn (at 2 months old rather than at 2 weeks old when Halloween was - ha ha).
Talking about it :)
Hi Mom!
Asher wanted in on the shoot :)
"This is my crazy arm wave"
My sweet boy.
And we're done.
Happy (very late) Halloween! :)
